volunteer profile - Elizabeth

Elizabeth has been a dedicated volunteer with the ESL Conversation Club at the Calgary Public Library since April 2004. Her commitment to the program is exemplary. She is an organized volunteer who comes prepared for her sessions and goes the extra mile in welcoming library participants. In the past, Elizabeth worked in the airline industry and her fondness in meeting people from all over the world continues in her volunteer work.

Elizabeth finds volunteering with the ESL Conversation Club very rewarding. "I love hearing about the backgrounds of various participants and how they are adapting to Canada," she says. "The library staff has been so considerate and made volunteering with CPL a truly pleasant experience."

The staff at the library also appreciates Elizabeth’s caring nature. She is always on time, and she is a conscientious volunteer who never let’s us down. Her participants appreciate her patience and participation while they practice English.
